Current situation – As of March 5, 2020, 34 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Canada. In addition, the Government of Quebec (French only) reported their second case of COVID-19. The province has sent the presumptive positive sample to the National Microbiology Laboratory for further testing.


Refer to the Government of Canada Travel Health Advisory prior to travelling.   All travelers from COVID-19 impacted countries need to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days upon return. If symptoms develop, please immediately self-isolate and call your Region Public Health department.

    What and how are companies planning for their need to activate resources for an incident if there is a “confirmed case” at one of their locations, and what would the response entail?

    i.e., vehicle/equipment decontamination, worker decontamination, and work-area decontamination, up to and including large scale industrial building or full-scale warehouse decontamination, but who knows.
