Responsibilities associated with this role include day to day management of transportation dispatchers and drivers, management of the transportation customer service process, asset utilization, recruitment, as well as assisting with development and implementation of the strategic and business plans. This role will also assist Senior Management in analyzing and qualifying the existing business portfolio and future opportunities to ensure achievement of operational and financial metrics. Risk identification and mitigation combined with implementation and management of related safety processes will be required.
Qualified candidates will possess a post graduate degree in Business or Finance. The successful candidate will also possess 10 plus years of management level experience. Key competencies will include a working knowledge of transportation processes and legislation, as well as a proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team. Experience in the energy or chemical sector would be beneficial. Candidates with experience in process improvement and change management are desired.
